Detail Drafter - $28+ (Hourly)
Detail air-cooled heat exchangers for shop fabrication. Prepare shop detail drawings, including bundle assemblies, plenums, columns, ladders and platforms. Communicate with mechanical design engineers and shop personnel. General knowledge of welded steel fabrication practices. Drafting skills – 3D assembly and part modeling, 2D parts drawings and flat patterns. Computer skills must include Windows and Microsoft Office. Familiar with American Petroleum Institute 661. Familiar with OSHA requirements regarding walkways, handrails, stairs and equipment guards. Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime. Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management. Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department. Must have a minimum of either: High School Diploma or GED Certification with Fundamentals and Principles of CAD Design classes and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in heat exchanger and/or structural steel drafting; Or Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting and Design with a minimum of one (1) year experience in structural steel fabrication drafting.
