Local Printing company is wanting candidates for a Shipping Clerk position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ship to our customers and vendors. This includes local, courier and freight lines. We have a dedicated driver that works for us and this role requires preparing shipments and working with the driver to ensure that deliveries are made in a timely manner. They will need to be able to coordinate shipping with various trucking companies. We also use Fed Ex and UPS so if they have any experience that would be helpful.

• Outgoing shipments must be prepared for shipping by shrink wrapping or boxing and creating packing slips, BOL’s for outgoing shipments. Must have basic computer skills for this. That includes email and fillable PDF’s. They also need to be able to follow written instructions. All our jobs have written instructions for shipping, and this must be followed. It includes method of shipment, deadlines, and other special delivery instructions.

• Receive incoming freight from vendors and suppliers and directing it to the correct department.

• Maintain box inventory and report monthly (this is something we will train them to do – so some experience in inventory).

• Prepare skids for shipment. This includes wrapping and banding. We have a hand banding machine. I have included a picture of the equipment we use.

The rate of pay starts at $17.00.
