Accounting Clerk $22.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience and a great benefits package available after probationary period. 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
1. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: What is this position intended to contribute?
The Accounting Clerk supports the daily accounting and administrative functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting the accounting team with routine tasks to ensure smooth and timely financial operations.
2. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: Describe important responsibilities of this position; each statement should specify both what is done and how it is accomplished. Indicate the approximate percent of your time required for each.
2.1 Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions - 40 % of Time
- Match invoices to purchase orders and packing slips
2.2 Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and filing system(s) - 20 % of Time
Assist with reporting requests, audits, and other duties as assigned
2.3 Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and data entry 20 - % of Time
- Enter bills, credit memos, and customer payments into the accounting system
2.4 Assist with weekly check runs and vendor payment reconciliation 20 - % of Time
Respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely, professional manner
3. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Describe the knowledge and skill areas that are needed to fully achieve acceptable performance in this position.
3.1. Minimum qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
3.2. Preferred qualifications
· 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience (manufacturing a plus)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (i.e.QuickBooks, Sage, SAP)
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· Good communication and problem-solving skills
· Understanding of basic accounting principles

This position requires sitting and working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
