Field Service Technician – $27/hr. +

Responsible for on-site field visits to supervise the installation of equipment. Investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment and perform routine repairs. Partner with customers to ensure excellent communication and service; go the extra mile to engage customers. Responsible to insure all new or modified installations of equipment have been completed to ensure full functionality according to applicable industry standards, company standards, and customer specifications. Review performance reports and documentation from customers and inspect malfunctioning or damaged equipment to determine nature and scope of problem. Analyze inspection reports to determine source of problem and make recommendations for repair, replacement, or other corrective action. Coordinates problem resolutions with Field Service, Engineering, and other inter-company departments to expedite repairs. Maintains records of reports. Responsible for submitting reports to the Field Service Manager and the Quality Department. Provides recommendations to inter-company departments on recurring equipment problems noted in the field to instigate corrective action in design, production, and/or service to eliminate future problems. Assist the Field Service Manager in providing day to day customer service to customer inquiries regarding equipment. Troubleshoots, dismantles, and reassembles machines, equipment, and their subassemblies according to customers’ needs following drawings and other written and verbal specifications; plans assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience. Drills, taps, or reams holes, aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together using hand tools or portable power tools; installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, fan blades, bearings, and work them to test free movement; bends and installs pipe for lubricating systems. Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears including drive motors and fan shafts alignment. Conducts preventative maintenance at customer facilities. Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime. Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management. Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department, Ability to work at heights exceeding 50 feet, Ability to operate various mobile elevating work platforms. Strict Adherence to Client's and Customer’s Safety Requirements - e.g., Personal Protective Equipment, Job Safety Analysis, Any and all paperwork and reporting for completing assigned tasks on customer’s site, etc. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMON QUESTIONS/ANSWERS:
- Per Diem - $75/hr a day for meals and incidentals. Client covers travel, fuel, and lodging.
- Duration - The manager tries to have the Field Service Employees back on the weekends. Usually, the projects/assignments are 2 weeks out and 2 weeks at home/Oklahoma.
- Travel - The job requires 70% travel. Travel is both domestic and international, but 99% of it is domestic.
- Overtime - Most weeks are 50 hour weeks. That is 10 hours of overtime. There is sometimes more.
- Direct Hire - This is a full time/permanent job. It is not contract. It will also be direct hire.

HS Diploma or GED Required + Drug Screen + National Background Check + Related work history 2+ years
