ROAD PAVING CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IS NEEDING A CDL DRIVER / LABORER FOR THE PAVING DIVIISION. THIS IS A LABOR INTENSIVE DRIVER WITH LABOR POSITION. THIS IS NOT A POINT TO POINT DRIVING POSITION WILL BE DOING LABOR
BACKGROUND CHECK, DOT DRUG SCREEN, DOT MEDICAL CARD, MVR, CLEAINGHOUSE.
Non-driving work tasks:
Essential Job Functions: Cleaning and preparing job sites, unloading trucks, hauling, and hoisting material, material handling and storing, cleaning up rubble and debris, removing trash, contribute to team success, willing to do manual labor.
Soft Skill Requirements: Ability to meet all safety requirements and wear PPE including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, work gloves and high visibility vest. Must be able to work as a team player with a diverse group of people. Must be able to follow directions and complete daily tasks and expectations for each specific job site. Must be able to communicate problems to the job foreman. Must be able to work overtime and travel as required, with occasional overnight travel. Must report to work at designated start time. Must display a professional attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Must maintain constant alertness on job sites.
Experience and Education Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. Pass a preemployment drug test and industrial physical. Reliable transportation required.
Physical Requirements: Work is performed in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements. Must be able to lift and carry 5-25 lbs. frequently, 25-50 lbs. often, 50- 100 lbs. occasionally, with assistance. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and stand to operate equipment.
