We are a small locally owned shop with over four decades of machining and fabrication. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to help lead our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of machining processes, ensuring production standards are met. This role requires leadership, expertise in CNC machining, and an understanding of manufacturing principles. The successful applicant will play a role in optimizing machine performance, maintaining safety protocols to support our company's growth.
Responsibilities
- Participate daily operations of CNC machining equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes.
- Help meet production schedules to meet customer deadlines while maximizing machine utilization.
- Oversee programming of CNC machines.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Review blueprints and technical drawings for accuracy.
- Manage materials, tooling inventory, and fabrication processes to optimize workflow.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through process optimization, lean manufacturing practices, and skill development.
- Maintain detailed records of production, quality inspections with calipers or micrometers, and calibration of precision measuring instruments.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of CNC programming languages and software.
- Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting CNC milling machines, CNC lathes.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and PLC systems used in automated manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, fabrication techniques, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; proficient with precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
- Basic math skills for measurement calculations; understanding of quality control..
- Background check, pre-employment drug screen and valid driver's license required.
