Busy Heat Treating facility is needing candidates for one (1) 1st shift and (1) 2nd shift Furnace Operator / General Laborer positions.
Our operation runs 24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday morning. Because of this schedule, all candidates must be flexible and available to work first, second, or third shift as business demands require.
It is also important that candidates understand the physical nature of the position. Furnace operation is performed in a manufacturing environment where temperatures during the summer months can be approximately 10–20°F above the outside ambient temperature. Candidates should be prepared to work safely and effectively in these conditions.
Must be flexible if this need arises.
1st shift 7am-3:30pm
2nd shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm
3rd shift is 11:00pm to 7:30am
We specifically looking are looking for candidates who have experience working on the production floor and in harsh environments.. For all roles we are currently hiring for, we need individuals who can work in a hybrid capacity—comfortable spending time on the floor around the furnaces, as well as handling some office-related duties.
This position requires knowledge of metal working within the manufacturing industry setting 2 years experience. Must have good time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and teamwork skills.

Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to:
1) Monitor furnace process indicators to insure process requirements are achieved. (Time, Temperature and Atmospheres)
2) Process product in accordance to production schedule to ensure customer expectations are achieved and minimize gap times between loads
3) Document all processing information on shop orders and furnace charts
4) Fixture loads to achieve desired metallurgical results
5) Monitor Furnace mechanical operations and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
Qualified Candidates must possess:
- Education must be a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- This position requires knowledge of metal working within the manufacturing industry setting 1-2 years’ experience
- This person must work well within extreme temperatures and physically demanding environment
- Must have good time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and teamwork skills
Physical Demands:·
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in extreme high/low temperatures and a physically demanding environment· Frequently required to stand for long periods of time· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
