Night Shift – 1 Position - MONDAY-THURSDAY 5:00 - 3:30 am
The Robotic Welder Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of computer-controlled machines or robots to perform one or more machine functions on steel products. Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols. Apply competencies in welding and utilize computer-based software to operate the robotic machine. Interpret and perform welding techniques to fabricate parts to be used in the manufacturing of product. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, welding methods and sequences. Mount, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and work piece on machine using overhead crane. Capable of proper set up, interpretation and verification of correctness of program to be used on machine. Measure work piece for conformance to specifications. Enter commands or manually adjust machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Operate machine manually to perform functions when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions as applicable. Notify supervisor of discrepancies. Discuss control media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems. Minimum two years related experience or training
