Local city if looking to hire an experienced mechanical journeyman.

Looking for someone that possess: 

• Must possess an Unlimited Mechanical Journeyman License issued by the State of Oklahoma. 
• Strong experience maintaining and repairing industrial boilers, chillers, makeup air units, and exhaust fans. 
• Solid understanding of complex HVAC systems and controls, including troubleshooting and system diagnostics. 
• Proven ability to perform routine and preventive maintenance on all HVAC and mechanical equipment. 
• Able to work from blueprints, plans, and schematics and follow mechanical codes and safety requirements

PURPOSE OF THE CLASSIFICATION: Under general supervision performs skilled maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems at the journeyman level, and other related assigned duties.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:
• Designs and installs new mechanical systems including heating and cooling systems and a variety of complex mechanical components
• Repairs and maintains existing facilities
• Repairs pipes, valves, compressors, vents, drains and other related mechanical systems
• Installs new gas service and performs repairs on existing gas lines
• Makes estimates of material, time and labor necessary to complete jobs
• Monitors parts inventory and maintains truck inventory
• Performs preventive maintenance on all mechanical systems
• Supervises a crew of maintenance employees as needed
• In some positions operates Central plant equipment including chillers & boilers
