POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Control Assistant is responsible for managing the day-to-day QC operations in support of the QC Manager. You would be dealing with code welding, manufacturing inspections and related compliance paperwork.
This position is an hourly paid, full-time, non-exempt position and will answer directly to the Quality Control Manager and the General Manager. We work 8-10 hours Mon – Fri with our busy season being Oct – Dec.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works directly with the Project Manager to meet production demands.
- Provide regulatory documentation (Traceability) on all materials meeting all required safety and recordkeeping practices by creating a clear chain of custody.
- Assisting in QC inspections in accordance with ASME and all other governing and regulatory agencies.
- Responsible for keeping an updated and accurate inventory of NDE equipment and supplies. This includes maintaining regulatory calibration standards on required manufacturing equipment, and scheduling periodic testing as required.
- Audits daily progress of current projects to update Clients. Reviews activities and the financial standings with the Project Manager to make sure we are on track and go over work packages and reports.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be trained to adhere to the relevant codes and standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, particularly in industries like manufacturing, construction, and energy.
- Hands on experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in a manufacturing environment including ASME code.
- Knowledgeable in inspection techniques, NDT, and other specifications.
- Excellent verbal, organizational and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
An ASME certified welder is preferred or, in lieu of; a high school diploma/GED with more extensive hands on and field work with advanced knowledge in any of these related fields: welding, manufacturing, compliance, shipping/receiving would be considered. .BACKGROUND CHECK, PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN AND VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE REQUIRED THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION AND COMPANY.
